Bonds improved yesterday and are slightly up improved today. Stocks are slightly negative despite Initial Jobless Claims for the week ending 10/2 coming in 10,000 lower than expected at 445,000 vs expectations for a 455,000 figure.  Continuing Jobless Claims for the week ending 9/25 dropped to 4.462 million which was slightly higher than the 4.450 million expected.  However Continuing Claims for the prior week ending 9/18 were revised higher, from 4.457 million to 4.510 million.  As such, the drop in Continuing Claims of 48,000 was a larger drop than was expected.
