Bond markets opened up very slightly this morning despite a better than expected weekly jobless claims report that showed jobless claims for the week ended 10/3 were down by 33,000 (analysts had been projecting claims to be up by 11,000).  The Dow is up approx 56 pts to 9781 on the jobless claims report and also on a better than expected earnings report from Alcoa after market close last night.
